Calligrapher Mohamed Behairy

 Introducing one of the giants of Mughniyeh’s personalities, the son of Mughniyeh, the international calligrapher Dr. “Mohamed Behairy.” The calligrapher Dr. Mohamed Behairy was born in 1959 in Mughniyeh.  He graduated from the High School of Fine Arts, les beaux arts in 1980, then traveled to Istanbul and obtained a BA in 1987. He studied Arabic calligraphy since 1988 at Ajman College and the Abu Dhabi Cultural Complex.  He received a master's degree in the art of Islamic calligraphy in the year 2000 AD.  He continued to learn Arabic calligraphy under the supervision of his distinguished teacher, the famous Turkish calligrapher "Hassan Chalabi", where he obtained a license from him in Thuluth and Naskh scripts.  He won several prizes in Thuluth script in Ariska competition in 1992 and an award in Thuluth Jali and Jali Diwani scripts in 2000. He participated in many exhibitions in the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Algeria.  He has a significant artistic production in the field of logos and posters.  He participated in the first international festival for the art of Arabic calligraphy and Islamic decoration, and had a clear imprint as a translator of the interventions and workshops of Turkish calligraphers during the demonstration.  He worked as a professor of Islamic Arabic calligraphy in Jordan, Turkey and Abu Dhabi.  He worked as a university professor at the University of Tlemcen.  He worked as a calligrapher and supervised the project of writing the Quran of the King of Jordan, which was decorated with pure gold water.  One of his works is in the possession of the famous Prince Charles.
